Tips #3 - Preparing guest list for your child birthday party

Your child will be most happy if all his/her friends could come to the birthday party. Should you invite only his/her schoolmates, neighbours or enrichment classmates? Well, you need to know where the party is going to be held and the space available. So make sure your number of guests is able to fit into the party ground. In other words, ensure that you do not over invite. Usually we like to invite as many friends as we know, but keep in mind that we should have a guest list that we could manage.

Another tip for the guest list is that generally, children like to play with slightly older kids, the rule of thumb is your child age plus one or two years. If you invite children of very different age groups, they may have different interests and you will have difficulty choosing a theme that will suit all of them. A successful party is one that all the children play and have fun together, so it is important that the age groups are not too far apart. For very young kids age one to seven, you may have to invite their parents or guardians as well. However, if the children are old enough to take care of themselves, it is not mandatory that you invite the siblings or parents of your child's friends.
